Oregon Cannabis Testing Laboratories

It can be difficult to find a laboratory for testing cannabis products. I hope this listing of Oregon laboratories will be helpful.

Here is a link to the OHA website:
https://www.oregon.gov/oha/mmj/Pages/laboratories.aspx
This is where you will find the laboratories that are listed with OHA.

Due to the changes in Oregon's Administrative Rules: OAR 333-008-1190
https://www.oregon.gov/oha/mmj/Documents/Rulemaking/333-008-medical-marijuana-patients-growers-processors-dispensaries.pdf

any cannabis product must be tested by a laboratory that is listed with OHA or you cannot transfer it to a dispensary. This is from March 1, 2016 to September 20, 2016.
Starting October 1, 2016, the laboratory must also be accredited by ORELAP.

I have found a laboratory in Salem where I can take my products to be tested!
TetraHc Analytical Laboratory- Please disregard the address on the card- They have moved.

Here is their current address:  219 Madrona Ave SE, Suite C, Salem, OR  97302
Their phone number is: 503.967.6649
Bill is a great person to talk to.

Medical marijuana dispensaries in Reno and Sparks, Nevada

Do you have a medical marijuana program card?
You can visit a medical marijuana dispensary in the state of Nevada. Here are two good ones in the Reno/sparks area.

Check this Nevada statute 453A.364  on this link:
  http://www.leg.state.nv.us/NRS/NRS-453A.html#NRS453Asec364

to make sure your state has a database and tracks identification the way that Nevada needs it to.
Oregon does!

In Sparks, there is: Silver State Relief
175 East Greg Street
Sparks, NV  89431
775.440.7777
Open Monday-Saturday: 10am to 6pm

In Reno, there is: Sierra Wellness Connection
1605 E 2nd Street
Suite# 103
Reno, NV  89502
775.473.9994
Open Monday- Saturday
10am to 7pm
And Sunday: 12pm to 5pm

They also have a location in Carson City, Nevada- but we have not been to that one yet.

Nevada recognizes nonresident medical marijuana cards-that is the statute I mentioned above.
So, according to current rules: an out of state visiting patient who visits a Nevada dispensary needs to sign an affidavit and receive instructions from the dispensary staff. At that point, state law will protect qualified visitors who make purchases at Nevada state licensed stores.
This is not difficult to do, nor did it take much time.

This health center can help Nevada state residents apply for a medical marijuana card.

Holistic Health Center of Reno
890 Mill St
Suite#100
Reno, NV 89502
775.870.1545

Nevada's medical marijuana program went into effect on April 1, 2014.
Here is the link to the Nevada Medical Marijuana Program:  http://dpbh.nv.gov/Reg/Medical_Marijuana/

So, this is how Nevada is currently, however there are people who would like to see full legalization of cannabis and they are putting forth a petition to do so.

Initiative Petition 1: which would tax and regulate cannabis similar to alcohol.
It has been certified for the 2016 ballot, Nevada voters will consider Measure 2 on November 8th.
The website for the campaign in support of this measure is: https://www.regulatemarijuanainnevada.org/

Rick Simpson Oil

Here is a video showing how to create the Rick Simpson Hemp Oil.

Hemp oil used medically

In nearly all of my research and discussions with people about medical hemp oil, Rick Simpson is usually mentioned. He created a type of medical hemp oil to treat various illnesses and diseases.

This oil is not like cannaoil or any other tincture and extract that is used in cooking. This oil is only meant to be taken medically and dosage is in drops that are as small as half the size of a grain of rice.

Here is a video where Rick Simpson talks about some of the people he has helped with this oil.
He is Canadian, so you'll like the abouts.

This is part 4 of his internet seminar

There are many videos where people credit his oil for curing or treating their health issues. He gives his recipe out to everyone free of charge and has given people the oil for free. The movie "Run from the cure" is his and can be viewed on youtube.

Here are other people talking about medicinal hemp oil and cannabis infused coconut oil. The video quality is not the greatest, but the stories are interesting.

This last video is the shortest and the one I liked best.

I believe that it doesn't matter if you personally do not believe in this type of medical treatment, these people do. If it helps them and it cannot hurt other people for them to take it, then why should it be illegal?
